1 Roll the clay out, and place the template on top of it.
2 Cut around template with a craft knife.
3 Remove the template, and use the craft knife to pull up the edge of the clay to remove it from the rolled piece.
MAKING SLIP
Slip or metal clay paste is useful for sticking items together, much like glue. It is also possible to coat organic materials such as leaves and sticks with paste, and during the firing process, the organic material burns away, leaving a replicated metal piece. This paste is available for purchase, but it is also very easy to make.
